Amy Lee Mayer met Jayson Zaborowski in 8th Grade Social Studies class. He asked if she would "go out" with him, and she said yes. Their blissful two-month relationship covered both Christmas and Valentine's Day, and Jayson knocked it out of the park boyfriend-wise despite his 13-year-old limitations. Even with all of his grand romantic gestures and hour-long phone calls, Amy panicked and dumped him one week after Valentine's Day. [Terrible move!]
Throughout high school, each continued to have a crush on the other. She was waiting on him. He felt it was her duty to make a move [being that she was the one who ended things]. They spent many a spring afternoon talking for hours during baseball games. He was the star center-fielder, she was the statistician. But once graduation came, she went west and he went south.
Seventeen years later, they reconnected on a little website called Facebook. And even though they lived only an hour apart from one another for several years, Amy was still too nervous to do anything. And Jayson tried. He invited her to shoot with him many, MANY times.
Four more years went by until the Gregorian year 2014, when Amy casually commented on a #TBT post. Jayson went all last ditch effort and asked if he could call her. Less than three weeks later, Amy moved most of her worldly possessions from Philadelphia to East Tennessee.
They are currently engaged. [To one another.]
